Honest to Blog

My mother is now a bona fide blogger. She just recently made her blog viewable to anyone so you all should check it out. Its under my links sections as "Still Crazy After All These Years". She has a great knack for blogging already and I am sure you all get a kick out of her thoughts, as she has of yours (Well at least those of you linked to my blog, she reads all of them, haha).

I am currently highly stressed about finding job in accounting. For those of you who know anyone that can help me out let me know.

Also, I just downloaded all of season 2 and 3 of Lost. I am catching up and boy am I loving it.

New Bloggery

In an effort to move forward with my life after Utah, I decided to change the background and layout of my blog. I know, what an important thing in my transition. This generation is doomed because people now spend time transitioning by changing their blogs and myspace accounts instead of spending time changing their lives. Haha. I laugh but I am so a victim of it too. Anyways, so I opted to not put music on this time. If there is an overwhelming reaction to it not being on there, which I doubt there will be, then I will put it back on.

There may be a few more tweaks here and there in the next few days but for the most part this is it. I hope it behooveth everyone.

Updates

This post is titled updates not because I wanted to up date you all so much on whats been going on in my life, but because I am so tired of updating everyone on whats going on in my life. Well that sounds sort of bad. For the most part everyone that reads this is pretty in the know on my life and refrains from asking me the questions that I absolutely hate. Thus ensuring me that creating this blog was a good thing because I have to answer said questions less often than I did before the blog. What kind of questions am I talking about, you ask? The mindless banter that really doesn't matter. Here is a quick run down of the annoying conversations that I am talking about. I will title the person asking the annoying questions as Joe.

Joe: So you just graduated huh?
Scott: Yeah, I did. Its seriously so nice to be done with school.
Joe: Do you have a job lined up?
Scott: No. Actually I just transferred to the Macaroni Grill down here while I take the CPA exam, but I am looking for a job too.
Joe: Did you meet with any recruiters at your school?
Scott: No. No recruiters came to my school because our accounting program was small, blah blah blah.
Joe: Oh, that sucks.
Scott: Yeah.

Thats pretty much brunt of it. I can not even count how many times I have had that same stupid conversation since I have moved home. I get it, people are just trying to be nice and cordial. Im sure the fault lies with me, but I'm sorry it just annoys the crap out of me. Its the cross I bare apparently. Also included in these annoying little update conversations are topics/questions such as: "Are you dating anyone?", "How was work?", "How is the Macaroni Grill?", and other questions like that. Undoubtedly one of you reading this has at some point asked me one of the questions, some probably pretty recently. Please don't take offense. I understand people are just trying to be polite and have a conversation. It is just highly aggravating to hear them and discuss them over and over again. When anyone reading this feels the need to ask any of these questions just refer to the answers below.

Are you dating anyone? - No. Trust me, I'll let you know when I am.

How was work? - Work sucked. It always sucks. Who likes work? (Granted I have asked this once or twice but from here on out I vow to not ask it)

How is the Macaroni Grill? I hate it. I hate serving tables. I am currently looking for a full-time job in accounting. Do you know anyone that can help me?

Once again, this is just me venting. Please no one take offense because its the conversation that is annoying to me, not the person who i am having the conversation with. We've all had conversations like this I am sure of it. The end.

Angel Game

It's baseball season! And guess what? I'm back in California. How very exciting for me! So this past week I went to my first Angel game of the year. Hopefully there will be many more to come as well as many Dodger games. While I do love the Angels and Angel Stadium, mostly due to its closeness, nothing beats Dodger Stadium. The bummer about Dodger Stadium is driving the hour, if there is no traffic, to get to it. Not to mention the ghetto that it lies in. Im sure many memories will be made at both Dodger and Angel Stadium. Amy and Heather accompanied me to the game and we all had a blast. Nothing beats $16 tickets. The seats are really good too for what you pay. Anyways, it was good times had by all. The end.

This song is by Dropkick Murphy's and its called "I'm Shipping Up to Boston". Enjoy.

Last Day in Utah

My last day in Utah was definitely a fun one. It started off a little scatter-brained but ended up being a good send off. I had been wanting to a have a BBQ but had really failed to plan much and that includes an exact time and an invite list. So I knew I wanted to have a BBQ, but I wasn't sure when to have it and who I wanted there. After much procrastination I, with the help of my friend Mitch, came up with a loose invite list and food assignments. I thought I had let everyone know when it was but apparently I forgot to tell my Dad because he thought it was at 5 or 6. He ended up being around 2 and 1/2 hours late. It also ended up being a little smaller than I had planned because I also neglected to call really anyone other than my roommates and good friends. In the end it was a good thing because it was nice to not have to cater to a bunch of people and all my really good friends were. Old Man Bones was able to take a lunch break from work and make an appearance. Cory Mon and Ellsworth also showed up after their band practice which was cool. Most of the fam that was there for my graduation came, with the exception of Margie and Nana who were taking a rest from the busy day earlier. Other notable guests were Bill (who flew in the night before to drive home with me), Dan the Man (who chatted baseball with Bill and I the entire time), and Erin (who brought her charm and dashing good looks to the party). Donnie aka Tammy, my roommate, was also there to add some much needed flavor, although there was no mustache this time. Donnie is now holding down the fort at the Huntington Manor with Stone Bone in my stead. Good luck to you Good Sir.

Here is Lord Huntington aka Justin hard at work on the grill. The burgers were delicious. Thanks again Justin.

Donnie and Erin.

I don't know why but I love this picture. I think because it is classic Jeff. Miss ya man.

Petey rockin' it in Utah style.

That night Cory had a show at Velour that he promoted as a going a party for me which was pretty sweet. I invited a bunch of people but pretty much only the people that I expected to come were the ones that showed up. That was nice so I didn't have to spread myself to thin. I was able to hang out with all my best friends on my last night. I think about probably 10 or 15 of my best friends were there. Cory asked me if I wanted to sing a song with him before hand and I thought it would be fun so I did. I actually was really really nervous but it was seriously some of the best fun I have ever had. Thanks again Cory for making it a special night for me. I thought this picture above was a good one with Cory and I.

I also really liked this one because I look about as happy as I felt. Haha. My 15 minutes of semi-fame. When Cory is one day rich and famous from his successful music career I can brag that I once sang a duet with him on stage. It should also be noted that the song we sang was named after me...Snubbs. Good times.

Enjoy Come All You Weary by Thrice.
